LunarLab is committed to responsible, transparent, and ethical advocacy and lobbying practices. We will lobby only in ways that contribute to positive social or environmental impact, consistent with the B Lab Standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our lobbying work will always reflect our commitment to positive social and environmental impact and will align with our human-centered design values. We will always seek to advocate for positive policy positions, even when those positions are not profitable for the company, because it is the right thing to do. Our goal is a just society for everyone, not personal gain.

This policy applies to all LunarLab employees, officers, and any third parties acting on LunarLab’s behalf, across all geographies and entities in which LunarLab operates.

Political Contributions and Integrity

Company Contributions

LunarLab will not make political contributions of any kind, including financial or in-kind contributions. This prohibition applies to donations to candidates, political parties, political action committees (PACs), ballot measures, or any other politically affiliated organizations or causes. No company funds, assets, services, or resources may be used for political contributions.

LunarLab may make contributions to 501(c)(3) policy advocacy organizations that advance social welfare causes through research, analysis, and advocacy at the local, state, or federal level. This includes participating in sign-on letters, advocacy days, or other actions. These contributions will be publicly shared on an annual basis alongside lobbying activities.

Employee Contributions

Employees may make personal political contributions in their individual capacity and on their own time. No employee will ever be penalized, disadvantaged, or retaliated against for making or declining to make a personal political contribution. Employees must not represent personal political contributions as being made on behalf of LunarLab.

Conflicts of Interest Disclosure

Employees involved in lobbying or advocacy activities must promptly disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could constitute a conflict of interest.

Lobbying

Principles of Responsible Lobbying

LunarLab will always adhere to the following five principles of responsible lobbying:

  1. Legitimacy: All lobbying activities will pursue objectives that are aligned with the public interest, grounded in social and environmental responsibility, and consistent with LunarLab’s mission and values.
  2. Transparency: LunarLab will be open about its lobbying activities, positions, and expenditures. Information about our advocacy efforts will be made available to stakeholders and the public.
  3. Consistency: Our lobbying positions will be consistent with our stated values, our B Corp commitments, and our broader sustainability strategy. LunarLab will not advocate for positions that contradict our social or environmental impact goals.
  4. Accountability: LunarLab will maintain clear lines of responsibility for lobbying activities and will regularly review its advocacy efforts to ensure compliance with this policy and applicable laws.
  5. Opportunity: LunarLab will use its influence to create opportunities for meaningful public participation in decision-making processes and to amplify underrepresented voices in policy discussions.
