About the Role
We are building the next-generation Global Satellite Constellation for highly precise and secure Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. We are seeking a motivated Mission Operations Engineer to join our mission planning team. This role requires experience in satellite operations. Day to day tasks would include planning and executing satellite maneuvers, tracking and planning for satellite orbital events, ensuring safe operation of the satellite. We want someone capable of understanding satellite sensor data, capturing anomalies and preparing responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, test, and execute satellite operations procedures, including launch, early operations, and nominal operations procedures
- Monitor system health and report anomalies, working with the engineering team to safely resolve them
- Plan for satellite operation maneuvers, create a plan to use the available propulsion budget
- Work with satellite platform and payload team to design and implement the operation modes for the satellite
- Ensure that the orbital tube is maintained by planning propulsive maneuvers and ensuring user performance metrics are not going beyond the thresholds
- Extend help during the mission design phase by contributing from an operational perspective.
- Plan for fleet management by later incorporating automated pipelines to manage large fleets and develop anomaly detection methods
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a relevant technical discipline.
