Start here

This is the one place to run the business. Add a booking as soon as the text arrives, then assign the van and groomer. Keep one row per dog, not one row per owner.

Road view

• Upcoming schedule — the next appointments, sorted by date.
• Calendar · weekly route — see which van and groomer own each day.
• Regulars · suggested rebook — last groom + cadence highlights the next four-week slot.
• Van economics · payback — enter cumulative figures to answer whether Van 2 has paid for itself.

Weekly rhythm

• Monday: open the regulars view; contact anyone with a rebook due within 7 days.
• Before leaving: open Supplies and look at Reorder flag; oatmeal shampoo is already seeded as a critical item.
• When a van returns: open Maintenance, set the due date/odometer, and mark completed service complete.
• Friday: enter fuel, repairs, and other running costs against the right van.

Quick rules

• A booking is not done until Status is Complete and Price is entered.
• When a regular is groomed, update Last groomed, Cadence (weeks), and Next rebook. Suggested rebook calculates the four-week date; Next rebook is the override for a changed slot.
• Assign every booking to a van. That is the data needed to judge Van 2.
• Blank numeric fields mean “not entered yet,” not zero.

Setup checklist

• Replace Groomer 1 / 2 / 3 with the real team names.
• Add every regular dog, phone, address, cadence, and preferred slot.
