Now there are several methods to compute the logic for detecting the slouch while sitting. Some are very simple and easy to cheat and other are very complex and hard to understand and implement.

So ,here something which is the SMARTEST SIMPLEST SOLUTION to this particular problem.

Posture Deviation Line (PDL)

A invisible line between your nose and the mid point of your shoulder joints (Nose to Neck). This simple line would determine whether we are slouching or not.

Process Flow

• Initially users sits in a perfect posture and press a button to take the required landmark coordinates.
• Model then calculates a PDL for a perfect posture (target_ratio).
• For next consecutive frames(current_frame) , if the PDL is higher or smaller than a particular threshold , that means we are slouching.
• And that it , its simple , easy to code and since the math is simple , the final executable file would be small as well.

Landmark Used

• Landmark 0 : The Nose
• Landmark 12 : The right shoulder
• Landmark 11 : The left shoulder
• Shoulder point = (Landmark 12 + Landmark 11) / 2
