The Great Lakes Aquatic Nonindigenous Species Information System (GLANSIS - **https://www.glerl.noaa.gov/glansis/**) is a federal NOAA database which includes information on the distribution of nonnative species. The system was designed to operate at a regional scale, but includes a wealth of point-mapped data that would be useful at local scales.

K–12 educators and Great Lakes resource managers need watershed data for environmental education and aquatic invasive species work, but getting a printable HUC8 watershed map used to be hard.
Until now, generating a print‑ready map often meant tracking down a specific NOAA GLANSIS contact and waiting. Turnaround could range from minutes to weeks depending on email timing, and many educators didn’t even know the resource existed.
Now any teacher, student, or resource manager can:
All in under a minute, from any device, for free.
