The earliest arc of Kiryth's history — set approximately 1400 years before the present day. A party of adventurers working for the Kraken Society stumbled into a conspiracy that would reshape the world, broke a 1,303-year time loop, and returned home carrying the artifacts that would eventually cause the Magefall.
Magic is abundant and structural — woven into civilization itself. Walking cities like Bakalamanatic exist. Bot-makers like Baron VonFinster can reassemble mechanical constructs like the legendary Zozuza 7. The Kraken Society keeps the world safe from the most dangerous magical artifacts. It won't for much longer.
The Kraken Society tasks the party to locate and retrieve the Hand and Eye of Vecna from the ancient walking city Bakalamanatic, before the Red Wizards — and particularly their rising star Belloc Tellure — get there first. The city sleeps somewhere in the Abyss. The path to it leads through the city of the dead, a cursed desert, and a tomb that can only be opened by demons.
Somehow the Zozuza — a legendary mechanical construct currently in pieces — is the key.
