Purpose
This policy explains how information submitted through the NextGen IACC Scholars Program application will be collected, used, reviewed, stored, and deleted. The program will collect only the information needed to assess applications, administer awards, provide accessibility support, and meet applicable institutional or legal requirements.

1. Information collected
The application may collect:
- Name, preferred name, email address, telephone number, location, university, department or program, degree information, expected graduation date, supervisor or program contact, and professional website or ORCID;
- Eligibility confirmations and information about institutional or supervisor requirements;
- Written responses concerning training, research interests, analytic reasoning, patient-centered communication, motivation, collaboration, and relevant outputs;
- A curriculum vitae or biosketch and a scientific writing sample, including an explanation of the applicant’s contribution;
- Applicant attestations and signature information;
- Optional accessibility or accommodation information; and
- Administrative information generated during the selection process, such as application status and internal notes.
2. Purposes of collection and use
Application information will be used only to:
- Determine administrative eligibility;
- Evaluate applicants for the NextGen IACC Scholars Program;
- Conduct interviews and verify information for shortlisted candidates;
- Communicate with applicants;
- Arrange institutional approval, stipend administration, data access, and program participation for selected scholars;
- Provide requested accessibility measures;
- Administer, monitor, and evaluate the program; and
- Meet applicable grant, institutional, financial, research-integrity, or legal requirements.
