This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Noctix — Link Checker mobile application (the "App"), a security tool designed for checking URL safety, detecting phishing attempts, and analyzing link trustworthiness.
We prioritize minimal data collection.
Local-First Architecture: The App operates primarily on your device. Your scan results, history, saved reports, and any other data you work with are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.No Account Required: The App does not require registration or an account. We do not collect email addresses, names, or personal identifiers.Technical Data: We may collect anonymized, non-personal technical information (e.g., OS version, device type, app version) solely for crash reporting and service improvement. This data cannot be used to identify you and is not linked to your usage activity.Third-Party API Requests: To perform link safety analysis, the App sends the URL you are checking to third-party services (such as Google Safe Browsing, RDAP domain registries, and IP geolocation providers). These requests are made directly from your device and are not routed through our servers.
Any data we collect is used solely to:
Diagnose crashes and improve App stability.Understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which iOS versions to support).Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
We do not sell, trade, or share personal data.
Service Providers: Anonymized crash reports may be processed by trusted third-party services (e.g., Apple's crash reporting) under strict data minimization practices.Third-Party Analysis Services: When you scan a URL, the App sends that URL directly to third-party APIs (Google Safe Browsing, RDAP registries, IP geolocation services) for analysis. These services are governed by their own privacy policies.Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order.
