In this message, Paul begins our “This Is Family” series by reminding us that we are loved by God and invited into His family. Using Scripture, stories, and table conversations, he shows that church is not just a place we attend—it is a family where we belong. Because God welcomes and accepts us, we can welcome others too. This message challenges us to notice people, make room at the table, and love like Jesus.
Ephesians 2:19
“You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.”
Sometimes we feel like we have to prove we belong. We try to be good enough, spiritual enough, gifted enough, or strong enough.
But God does not love you because you perform well. He loves you because you are His.
That is important for emotional and spiritual health. If you believe you must earn God’s love, you will always feel tired inside. You may pray, worship, serve, or operate in spiritual gifts, but still feel like you are not enough.
The truth is this: in Jesus, you are not a stranger. You are family.
Pentecostal faith is full of passion, worship, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit. But our power must come from knowing we are loved, not from trying to impress God or people.
Before you do anything for God, you are loved by God.
