Do not make Foremerge the default backend — optional semantic-conflict plugin behind CoordinationPort. Path/mailbox/ack-handoff = DEPEND/ADAPT (Synapse / LLM Bus only as AGPL process sidecars). Remove managed worktree fabric.

synthetic-factory

Own admission control plane: untrusted candidate boundary → Factory-owned verify/replay → rights/policy → quarantine → frozen manifests. Generators are replaceable DEPEND plugins (Distilabel, synth_gen, procedural, local OW). Producer metadata never self-certifies.

Agoge / paper

Factory stops at frozen artifacts. Agoge owns train → held-out eval → ablations. Multi-backend generators under one admission + one Agoge protocol strengthens a methodological paper.
