Onkolos Bali is a quarterly, 10‑day sanctuary‑retreat program designed for people who have given much and need a space to receive care. It follows a “change the water first” approach that reshapes the surrounding environment—pace, place, nutrition, light, rhythm, meaning and belonging—to support whole‑person healing. The retreat is organized into a ten‑day cycle: days 1‑2 arrival and down‑shift, days 3‑4 regulation & restore, days 5‑6 rebuild & nourish, days 7‑8 meaning & mercy, and days 9‑10 integrate & return. It integrates body (rest, movement, nutrition, sleep), mind (clarity, attention, grief processing), heart (companionship, compassion, joy), spirit (prayer, forgiveness, hope), and re‑entry into home and work, using practices such as breathwork, grounding, nature‑based restoration, small‑group listening prayer, consistent meal timing, reflective journaling and gratitude. The model is framed as a “sanctuary therapy” laboratory for giftedness, recovery and community flourishing, rooted in Romans 12:6‑8 and the 7Modalities paradigm.

Guiding insight: If the fish is sick, first change the water. Healing is often less about forcing change inside a person and more about changing the environment around them. This retreat is designed to renew the “water” first: pace, place, people, food, air, light, rhythm, and meaning.

This is a wellness and risk-reduction plan that supports recovery capacity (sleep, metabolic stability, inflammation reduction, stress load). It is not medical advice and does not replace oncology care. Please align all supplements, fasting, diving, and heat therapies with the treating clinician.

Onkos (Greek) means “weight”. Medicine borrowed the word to describe the heavy burden of rapid cell change and named the specialty oncology.
If you have just come out of treatment, are navigating chronic illness, or are facing uncertainty and relapse, consider a gentler, more whole-person approach to recovery as an Onkolos.
