The aesthetics of nature help enhance the specialty of a space and uplift those who experience it. Creating something in a space based on behavior and needs, expressing the relationship between the user and their surroundings. Gifts received from nature, such as light, wind, and rain, are utilized to complement what we have created.
Listening to the sound of the wind and leaves, and observing the light and shadows that shift with time.

Why "LLOYD Architists"?
LLOYD is a name taken and slightly modified to get a new name that is short, easy to remember, and has meaning for us. We opted for Architists instead of the common "Architects" to avoid duplication with the naming conventions of firms in other countries. Therefore, we considered what term would be suitable to follow our name, indicating our field of work, if not "Studio," "Design," or "Architects." We chose the word Architists from the words "Architects + Artists," because architectural design is also a field of art and beauty design.

Selection of Font Style for the LOGO
We compared a total of 4 options by randomly selecting and contrasting fonts we thought we might like. However, since we wanted the logo to reflect our design style, which favors a feeling of lightness, softness, and tranquility, the final choice was a simple font. It appears gentle due to the small curves at the corners of each letter, giving it a soft feel. Its thinness offers a sense of airiness and lightness, and the simple arrangement provides a Timeless quality.

Logo Background Color
The background color used in our logo was chosen to evoke a cool feeling, like the morning air. It's a cool-toned gray that looks transparent and airy.

Logo Composition

The 'O' in the name
As we aim to integrate nature as a primary component of our working approach, we sought an element that conveys both nature and tranquility to include in our logo. Initially, we considered the circular shape of a water droplet or an air bubble to represent nature, cleanliness, clarity, and transparency. However, further searching led us to the circular symbol originating from the Japanese concept of Ensō (円相), which involves drawing a circle in a single, focused brushstroke. The resulting circle, whether perfectly complete or slightly incomplete, effectively communicates, we feel, both nature and our design philosophy.

The dot inside the 'O' originates from the Ensō drawing process, which requires the brush to be pressed down before drawing the circle to complete the loop. We therefore added a dot to the upper left corner, resembling the point where the brush was set down before drawing clockwise, according to our natural handedness. This also subtly breaks the perfect symmetry of the circle.
Furthermore, we did not connect the dot to the line because we believe the space left around it creates a sense of stillness while also giving the feeling of a pause, allowing for movement—it depends on the perspective.
Our definition of tranquility is the comfort of being in a space that allows you to be yourself or nurtures your spirit, while appreciating the surrounding atmosphere. This aesthetic sense naturally differs for each individual, as it arises from personal preferences and past experiences.
