INFORMATION THE APP STORES ON YOUR DEVICE
To do its job, Wispend stores the following locally on your device, in a private app database and preferences file that other apps cannot read:
- Budget amounts, budget period start and end dates, and per-wallet settings
- Wallets you create — their names, colors, and currencies
- Individual spending entries — amount, comment, date, and time
- App preferences — selected theme, language, currency, and display options
The developer does not receive, store, or have any access to this content. It is not uploaded to any server operated by the developer.
ADVERTISING
Wispend may display advertisements, and may work with third-party advertising partners to do so. Where advertising is served, those partners may collect and process information such as:
- Device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID
- IP address and coarse, IP-derived location
- Device type, operating system version, and language
- Ad interactions — impressions, clicks, and similar engagement events
This information is collected by the advertising partners under their own privacy policies, and is used to select, deliver, measure, and limit the repetition of ads. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers for these purposes. The developer does not sell your personal data.
Your budget amounts, wallet names, and individual spending entries are NOT shared with advertising partners.
You can limit ad personalization at the device level through Settings → Google → Ads, where Android lets you delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of personalized advertising.
ANALYTICS AND CRASH REPORTING
Wispend may use third-party analytics and crash-reporting services to understand how the app is used and to diagnose problems. Where these are used, they may collect:
- App version, device model, operating system version, and language
- Screens viewed and features used, and general interaction patterns
- Session length and frequency of use
- Crash and error diagnostics, including stack traces and device state at the time of a crash
- A pseudonymous installation or device identifier used to group these events
This information is used to fix bugs, understand which features are worth improving, and guide development. It is not used to build advertising profiles about you, and it does not include the contents of your spending entries, wallet names, or budget amounts.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Any advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services integrated into Wispend process data under their own privacy policies and terms, which govern their handling of information they collect. You are encouraged to review the policies of the services in use; the current list will be reflected in the app's Google Play Data safety section, which is kept up to date as services are added or removed.
DATA YOU EXPORT YOURSELF
Wispend can export your spending history to a CSV file. When you do this, the Android system asks you to choose where the file is saved. From that point the file is an ordinary document under your control — if you place it in a cloud-synced folder or share it with another app, that destination's own privacy policy applies. Wispend does not upload exported files anywhere.
DEVICE BACKUPS
Wispend allows Android's system backup to include its data. If you have Android Backup enabled, your Wispend data may be backed up to your own Google account, along with data from your other apps. This backup is handled entirely by Google and the device operating system, not by the developer, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (<https://policies.google.com/privacy>). You can turn it off in your device settings under Backup.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Wispend is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact the developer at the address below and it will be deleted.
DELETING YOUR DATA
Your budget and spending data lives on your device. You can delete individual entries or wallets inside the app, or remove everything at once by uninstalling Wispend or clearing its storage in Settings → Apps → Wispend → Storage.
For data held by advertising or analytics partners, you can reset or delete your advertising ID through your device settings as described above, or contact the developer to request deletion of any analytics records associated with your installation.
YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA may give you the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal data relating to you, and to object to certain processing. Your budget and spending data is already entirely in your possession on your own device, and the in-app CSV export gives you a portable copy at any time. For anything held by advertising or analytics partners, contact the developer at the address below and your request will be handled in line with applicable law.
CONTACTING THE DEVELOPER
If you email the developer with a question or bug report, you will be sharing whatever is in that message — typically your email address and any details or screenshots you choose to include. That information is used only to respond to you and is not added to any mailing list or advertising system.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This policy may be updated at any time, at the developer's discretion, to reflect changes to the app, to the services it uses, or to legal requirements. When it changes, the revised policy is published in the app's repository and the "Last updated" date at the top is revised. Material changes will additionally be noted in the app's release notes. Your continued use of Wispend after a revision takes effect means you accept the updated policy, so please review this page periodically.
CONSENT
By using Wispend, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
