What information we process

Study progress and preferences. The app stores study progress and preferences on your device. If iCloud Key-Value Store is available for your Apple ID, the app may synchronise progress between your Apple devices through iCloud.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the app is used and to maintain and improve it. This can include device and installation identifiers, device and app information, app interactions, subscription status, purchase, restore and paywall-funnel events, and coarse country and city reporting. This is not precise GPS location data.

Purchases and subscriptions. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement information needed to provide subscription access and help us understand subscription use.

Support. If you choose to contact us by email, we receive the email address you use, your message, and any app, device or study-context information included in that email. Support correspondence may be retained to handle the request and meet applicable obligations; no fixed retention period is stated here.

Why we use this information

We use this information to operate the app and subscriptions, maintain and improve features, understand app use, provide support, and prevent or resolve entitlement errors.

Apple Ads attribution — only in a released version that enables it

A released version that enables Apple Ads attribution sends an Apple AdServices attribution token to RevenueCat. RevenueCat uses the token for Apple Ads campaign attribution and measurement. This section applies only to a released version that enables this feature. It does not apply to public version 1.17.

Service providers

Apple provides iCloud synchronisation where it is available. Google provides Firebase Analytics and GA4. RevenueCat provides purchase validation and subscription-entitlement services. These providers process information in accordance with their own applicable terms and privacy documentation.

You can contact us at [email protected] to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where those rights apply to you. You may also complain to the data-protection authority that is competent for you.
