PackUp is developed and operated by DigitalKind (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy). This policy explains what information PackUp handles, why we use it, where it is stored, and the choices available to people who use the app.

Information PackUp handles

Information saved in the app

PackUp stores information entered or created in the app, including:

• trip names, destinations, coordinates, dates, activities, packing lists, and packing progress;
• saved item names, categories, item images, and thumbnails;
• home country and optional gender preference;
• app settings and signals used to improve packing recommendations; and
• subscription access status.

This information is used to provide PackUp's features, generate packing recommendations, keep saved content available, and sync content between supported Apple devices.

Camera and item images

Camera access is used only after permission is granted and only when an item is photographed. Image processing, subject cut-out, and classification take place on the device. PackUp saves the resulting item image and thumbnail in the app's private data store. These images may sync through private iCloud storage when iCloud is available.

We do not send item photos to our servers, Layers, RevenueCat, or advertising partners.

Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, PackUp may use Apple Intelligence to help name photographed items and prepare trip summaries. This processing uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models. The photographed image itself is not supplied to the language model. PackUp sends the model only on-device image labels or relevant trip details needed to prepare the requested result.

Analytics and advertising attribution

PackUp uses Layers to understand how the app is discovered, measure product use, and evaluate advertising campaigns. Layers may process:

• persistent install and device identifiers, including IDFV;
• IDFA only when App Tracking Transparency permission is granted;
