Getting Started

How does PixelTravel know where I've been? PixelTravel reads the location (GPS) and date metadata stored inside your photos. It uses this information to automatically build your travel history — no manual entry required. Photos without location data are ignored.

Do I need to grant photo access? Yes. PixelTravel requires read access to your photo library so it can analyse your travel history. Your photos never leave your device.

Can I use PixelTravel without any photos? The app is designed around your photo library. With no geotagged photos, the map and milestones won't have anything to display. We recommend granting photo access to get the full experience.

Map & Travel History

Why isn't a country I visited showing on the map? This usually means the photos from that trip don't contain GPS location data. Common causes:
