When you write in, telling us your device model, your iOS version, and the link you were trying to import gets your issue solved much faster.

Frequently asked questions

Paste or share a link to a public cooking video from most major social platforms and video sites. You can also import from a photo of a dish or a cookbook page, from pasted text, or by describing a dish and letting the AI invent it.

The most common cause is a private, age-restricted, or deleted video. Plated can only read videos that are publicly viewable. It also needs the video to actually be about cooking — if there's no recipe in it, the import will stop and tell you. If a public cooking video still fails, send us the link and we'll look into it.

Creators don't always state every quantity out loud, so the AI occasionally has to infer one. Every field is editable: tap Edit on the recipe, or ask Chef Miso in the chat to fix it for you.

In the social app, tap Share, then choose Plated from the share sheet. If you don't see it, scroll right and tap More, then enable Plated.

Unlimited recipe imports, unlimited Chef Miso AI chat and ingredient swaps, and hands-free Cook Mode with voice and timers. Without Pro you get a limited number of free imports.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Plated, then tap Cancel. Cancelling before the trial ends means you are never charged.

Open the paywall and tap Restore at the top right. If that doesn't work, email us.
