All playlists use Apple Music's AI DJ feature for mixing. The times account for the DJ's automatic transitions, which cut and blend songs together. I empirically looked at 13 transitions (then got lazy) and found 17s lost per transition with a standard deviation of 20s. This allows us to report the time as:
