Snapshot

Project Type: Demo Workflow / AI Lead Research Workflow / Sales Intelligence Agent / Pre-CRM Evaluation System / AI Research Automation

Target Users / Buyers: B2B founders, sales teams, outbound agencies, RevOps consultants, lead generation businesses, recruiters, consultants, SaaS startups, and small teams doing manual prospect research.

Core Problem: Lead research is slow, repetitive, and inconsistent. Many teams add leads to CRM before understanding whether they are a good fit. This creates cluttered pipelines, weak outreach, poor prioritization, and wasted sales effort.

Core Workflow:

Lead/company data → company research extraction → persona identification → ICP fit evaluation → pain point detection → buying trigger analysis → lead scoring → outreach angle generation → CRM-ready summary.

Main Outputs: Lead score, ICP fit summary, company research summary, likely pain points, buying triggers, decision-maker relevance, suggested outreach angle, personalized email/LinkedIn draft, CRM-ready notes, and recommended next action.

Tools / Stack: OpenAI, structured scoring rubric, prompt chains, Google Sheets, CRM workflow logic, Zapier/Make, web research workflow, enrichment workflow, validation logic, lead scoring model, and sales intelligence automation.

Services Demonstrated: AI automation, AI lead research workflows, sales intelligence systems, pre-CRM workflow automation, AI integration, outbound workflow design, structured scoring systems, and workflow-based AI product prototyping.

Context

Most sales teams think of CRM as the place where sales work starts. But in many B2B workflows, the real qualification work should happen before a lead enters the CRM.

A company name alone does not tell a sales rep whether the lead is worth pursuing. A LinkedIn profile does not automatically reveal whether the person is a decision-maker, influencer, or poor-fit contact. A website may contain useful signals, but someone still has to read it, interpret it, and connect it to the company’s ideal customer profile.

In practice, prospect research often looks like this:

A rep opens a spreadsheet of leads. They check the company website. They inspect LinkedIn. They skim job titles. They look for industry fit. They guess whether the company has the problem their product solves. They write a few notes. Then they add the lead to CRM or send a generic outreach message.

This process is repetitive and difficult to scale.

It also creates a downstream CRM problem. If every lead enters the CRM before qualification, the CRM becomes noisy. Sales teams then spend time filtering, cleaning, deprioritizing, and ignoring poor-fit leads. The CRM becomes a dumping ground instead of a focused sales operating system.

Generic AI tools can summarize a website or draft an email, but that is not enough. Sales teams need a repeatable research workflow that can evaluate fit, detect useful signals, structure the findings, and prepare the next action.

That is the product thinking behind Pre-CRM Research Agent.
