# Privacy — Cran

## In one sentence

Cran collects nothing, sends nothing, and technically cannot know which apps you block.

## What Cran stores, and where

Everything stays on your iPhone, inside the app's container:

- your rules: the times you chose, the length of the unlock delay;
- a selection of apps and websites, as **anonymous tokens provided by iOS**. Those tokens
  are unreadable: Cran knows neither the name nor the icon of the apps you pick, and
  cannot reconstruct them;
- how many times a blocked app was opened, per day;
- the end date of your trial, and whether the purchase was made.

None of this leaves the device. There is **no account, no server, no remote backup** —
Cran has no infrastructure to send anything to.

## What Cran does not do

- No analytics, no tracker, no advertising or measurement SDK.
- No network request, other than those iOS itself makes to validate a purchase with the
  App Store.
- No resale, no sharing, no data passed to any third party.

## Purchases

The one-time purchase is handled by Apple. Cran receives a response from iOS saying
whether the purchase is valid; it never sees your identity or your payment method.

## Notifications

If you allow them, Cran schedules a local notification to tell you an unlock delay has
elapsed. It is produced on the device: no sending server is involved, and Cran never
sends a marketing message.

## Deleting your data

Deleting the app erases everything, and immediately frees the blocked apps. There is
nothing to request from anyone: no data exists anywhere but on your phone.
