Privacy Policy
Moment Snap
Effective date: July 7, 2026
Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Moment Snap ("Moment Snap," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Moment Snap mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

By downloading, accessing, or using Moment Snap, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who We Are
Moment Snap is developed and operated by an independent app developer (the "Developer"). For any privacy questions or requests, you can contact us at:

Email: [email protected]
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the App. This falls into the following categories.

2.1 Content You Create
Moment Snap is a daily journaling app. When you use it, you may create and upload:

Photos — the single photo you choose to keep each day.
Drawings and handwritten text you add over your photo.
Song information (for example, a track title or artist you attach to a day).
Mood tags you select.
Your signature drawn with your finger.
This content is stored on our cloud servers so it can be synced to your account, backed up, and displayed back to you across sessions and devices. We treat this content as private to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

2.2 Account Information
To create and secure your account, we may collect an identifier such as your email address, a sign-in identifier provided by Apple (for example, Sign in with Apple), and basic authentication data. If you use Sign in with Apple's private relay, we receive only the relay email address you authorize.

2.3 Subscription and Purchase Information
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. To manage entitlements (for example, whether your 7-day trial or Premium subscription is active), we use RevenueCat, a subscription management provider. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts and an anonymous or pseudonymous user identifier on our behalf.

2.4 Usage and Analytics Data
We use analytics tools (such as Firebase / Amplitude) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This may include app events (for example, screens viewed or features used), device type and operating system version, app version, language and region settings, and a randomly generated device or installation identifier. This data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.

2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not intentionally collect your precise location, your contacts, or the full contents of your camera roll. Moment Snap only accesses the specific photo you choose to add each day, at the moment you select it.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:

Provide the core features of the App — storing, sealing, and displaying your daily entries and monthly notebooks.
Sync and back up your content so you don't lose your memories.
Create and secure your account and authenticate you.
Process and validate subscriptions, trials, and renewals.
Analyze usage to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
Communicate with you about your account, important updates, or support requests.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the App and your account), your consent (for optional analytics, where required), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed:

Provider	Purpose
Cloud hosting / storage provider	Securely store and sync your content and account data.
RevenueCat	Manage subscriptions, trials, and purchase validation.
Apple (App Store)	Process payments and deliver the App.
Firebase / Amplitude (analytics)	Understand usage and improve the App.
These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect our rights and users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify you of any material change.

6. Data Storage and Security
Your content and account data are stored on secured cloud servers. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — such as encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

7. Data Retention
We retain your content and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete an entry, an account, or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent for optional analytics at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You may also delete your account from within the App, which will remove your associated content. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

California residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by California law.

9. Children's Privacy
Moment Snap is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country). The App is not directed to children under this age, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Some adults (for example, new parents) may include photos of their own children in their private entries; that content belongs to the account holder and is stored privately. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services (Apple, our cloud host, RevenueCat, and analytics providers) that have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Apple's privacy policy and the policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of Moment Snap after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact Us
