What We Collect

When you use the AI Video Score browser extension, we collect:

• Video URLs and IDs — the addresses and identifiers of videos you scan, used to look up existing results and build our detection library.
• AI detection scores — the numerical likelihood results from each scan.
• Public video metadata — the video's title, channel/creator name, and duration, used as cache keys and to make the library more useful.
• Platform information — which video platform a scan happened on (e.g. YouTube, TikTok).
• Feedback events — when you use the "Wrong?" button, we log the video ID, the original score, and an anonymous device identifier to review and improve accuracy.

If you create an account / sign in, we also collect:

• Email address — to create your account and manage your free scan credits.
• Authentication tokens — Google OAuth access and refresh tokens, stored locally in your browser so you stay signed in across sessions.
• Usage and credit data — number of scans, credit balance, and sign-up date, to enforce free-tier limits.

For all users (signed in or not), we process:

• A locally-generated anonymous device identifier — created in your browser the first time you use the extension and sent with each scan so we can apply free-tier limits without requiring sign-in.
• IP address — used briefly by our backend for rate limiting and abuse prevention. IP addresses are not stored long-term as personal records.

What We Do Not Collect

• Your general browsing history (we only see URLs of videos you actually scan)
• Passwords (sign-in is handled by Google's OAuth flow; we never see your password)
