1. Data Collection

CustomBookS is primarily a local, on-device application. We commit to:

• Not collecting any personally identifiable information.
• Not tracking your behavior.
• Not sending any data to the developer's servers or any third party.

The app includes an optional "LAN Library" feature. When you manually enable this feature in Settings, the app starts a web service on your current local Wi-Fi network, allowing other devices on the same network (such as your own computer) to browse, upload, download, edit, or delete your books via a web browser. This feature:

• Is disabled by default and must be manually turned on in Settings.
• Operates only within your local network and never uploads any data to the internet or the cloud.
• Can be turned off at any time in Settings; once disabled, no further network communication will occur.

2. Data Storage

All of your ebook files, metadata, and app settings are stored directly on your local device.

• We do not upload any of your library content to the cloud or to any third-party server.
• Backup and restoration of your data are entirely managed by you, using your device's built-in file management tools.
• Data transferred through the "LAN Library" feature likewise stays only between your own device and other devices on your local network, and never passes through any external server.

3. File Access Permissions

The app only accesses specific ebook files when you explicitly authorize and select them. This access is used solely to read and manage the ebooks you specify, and the app will not scan or access any of your other private files.

4. Permissions & Compliance

The app's core functionality (importing, reading, and managing books) works entirely offline and does not require any network connection.
