Moodles ("we," "us," or "our") is a personal mood and wellness app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Moodles, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and display name. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in plain text by us.
• Wellness content you create. This includes mood check-ins, care activity, pet (Pip) progress, mood mixes, moments (text, photos, and voice recordings you choose to save), and related app settings such as theme and reminder preferences.
• Device and app data. Moodles stores data locally on your device. If you enable cloud backup, your data is synced to your account.
• Permissions you grant. Moodles may request access to your photo library and microphone only when you attach photos or record voice moments. Moodles may request notification permission if you enable daily reminders. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

Information we do not collect. Moodles does not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in the app.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve Moodles, including syncing your data across devices when you sign in, sending optional daily reminders, and displaying your moods, moments, and Pip progress inside the app.

If you choose to share content to Instagram or Photos, that sharing happens through iOS and the other app you select — we do not receive a copy of what you post externally.

We may use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand how features are used and to improve the app.

3. How we store and protect data

• Local storage. Guest mode keeps your data on your device only.
• Cloud backup. When you create an account, your data is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase, a third-party infrastructure provider that processes data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
• We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

4. How long we keep data

• We keep your data while your account is active or while you continue using the app.
• You can delete all data on your device from Settings. If you are signed in, you can permanently delete your account from Settings, which removes your cloud backup and associated account data.
• Some information may remain in backups for a limited period before being deleted in the ordinary course of operations.
