PRIVACY POLICY - Spent

This Privacy Policy explains how Spent ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.

  1. NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED Spent does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number to use it.
  2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER The App stores the expense data you create - amounts, notes/merchant names, categories, dates, and currency. This data is stored locally on your device.
  3. iCLOUD SYNC If you are signed in to iCloud, your expense data is synced through Apple iCloud (CloudKit) so it is available on your devices and restored if you reinstall the App. This data is stored in your private iCloud account. We do not have access to it and cannot read it. Sync is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
  4. MICROPHONE & SPEECH RECOGNITION The voice-logging feature uses your device's microphone and Apple's Speech Recognition to convert what you say into an expense entry. Audio is processed to produce text only and is not stored by us or sent to our servers. Speech recognition may be performed on-device or by Apple; it is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
  5. SUBSCRIPTIONS Purchases of Spent Pro are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier and purchase/transaction information from Apple needed to validate and manage your subscription. We do not receive your payment details (card numbers, etc.) — those are handled by Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
  6. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising. We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking beyond what is described above for subscriptions.
  7. DATA RETENTION & DELETION Your expense data stays on your device and in your iCloud account until you delete it. You can delete individual records in the App, or remove all data by deleting the App and clearing its iCloud data in your device settings (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage).
  8. CHILDREN Spent is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
  9. CHANGES We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
