This Privacy Policy describes how Sourdough Companion Labs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Sourdough Companion mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Service.

1.1 Information you provide

• Account information (optional): email address, display name, and password if you choose to create an account for cloud sync.
• Your content: recipes, bake logs, starter profiles, feeding records, photos, ratings, tasting notes, and any text or images you save in the app.
• Subscription information: when you purchase a subscription, Apple or Google processes the payment; we receive a subscription receipt (no card data).
• Support communications: messages you send to our support team.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, app version, and unique device identifier (IDFV on iOS, ANDROID_ID on Android).
• Usage analytics: features used, screens viewed, session duration, taps, and approximate session counts. We use aggregated, pseudonymous metrics.
• Crash and diagnostic data: stack traces, error logs, and performance metrics if the app crashes or runs slowly.
• Approximate location: derived from IP address at country and region level. We do not collect precise GPS location.

1.3 Information from third parties

• App Store / Google Play: subscription status, refund events, country.
• OneSignal: push-notification delivery status.
• OpenAI (AI Dough Vision): when you opt in to use AI Dough Vision, the photo you submit is sent to OpenAI for analysis. We do not share your account email or any other personal data with OpenAI.
