This Privacy Policy explains how Individual entrepreneur Volha Budzko ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the TalkCards mobile application and any related services (the "App"). It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use.
By downloading or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. We may update it from time to time (see Changes to this Policy); continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
At a glance
- TalkCards has no user accounts and no server of its own. The answers you give during onboarding — including your name, your partner's name, and your questionnaire responses — and any custom question packs you create are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
- We use a small number of well-known third-party tools for pseudonymous product analytics (Google Firebase), crash diagnostics (Sentry), advertising attribution (Meta), and payments (Apple). These are described in detail below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not collect your email, phone number, contacts, precise location, or social-network profile through the App itself. (If you email our support address, we naturally receive your email address and whatever you write.)
- On Apple devices, advertising attribution runs only if you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can decline, and change your mind later in iOS Settings.
1. Information stored only on your device
The following is saved locally on your device (in the App's storage) to make the App work. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot access it:
- Your first name / nickname and your partner's name, as entered during onboarding.
- Your onboarding questionnaire answers (for example relationship type, age range, relationship duration, and similar preferences) used to personalize your experience.
- Custom packs and the questions you write in them.
- Your progress, selected packs, and subscription/unlock state on the device.
You can erase this on-device information by using the reset option in the App's settings (labelled Replay onboarding), which clears your answers and custom packs, or by deleting the App from your device. Note that a short list of purchase-transaction identifiers is kept on the device to prevent duplicate charges and is not cleared by the in-app reset; removing the App clears it.
2. Information collected automatically
When you use the App, the following is collected automatically by us or by our service providers to operate, secure, and improve the App:
a. Product analytics — Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase
- A pseudonymous identifier: a random identifier we generate and store in your device's secure keychain so we can understand how the App is used across sessions. This is not your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), not a hardware identifier, and is not tied to your real identity. Because it lives in the iOS Keychain, it can persist after the App is deleted and be reused if you reinstall the App (see sections 8 and 9).
