The short version. The Keep stores everything on your device and collects nothing. That's the whole policy. The longer version below exists because app stores rightly require specifics.

What The Keep collects

Nothing. The Keep has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of its own. We never see your photos, your items, your spaces, your notes, or anything else you put into the app.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in The Keep — item photos, cutouts, collections, labels, storage locations, spaces, space records, boards, and notes — is stored locally on your device. It is included in your normal device backup (iCloud or computer backup) according to your own iOS settings, which you control. The Keep does not send your data anywhere.

Permissions The Keep asks for, and why

• Camera — to photograph items and spaces. Photos you take go straight into the app's local storage.
• Photo Library — to import existing photos of items or spaces, if you choose to. The Keep only accesses photos you explicitly select.
• Notifications — optional, local-only reminders (for example, a seasonal reminder you set yourself). These are scheduled on your device; no notification data leaves it.

You can decline or revoke any of these in iOS Settings at any time; the app degrades gracefully.

Your data, your exit

Deleting the app deletes the app's local data from your device.

Children

The Keep is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If a future version of The Keep ever changes how data is handled (for example, an optional sync feature), this policy will be updated first, the change will be clearly disclosed in the app, and anything involving your data leaving the device will be strictly opt-in. The founding rule does not change: paid or new capability may be added, but your existing data is never held hostage and never quietly transmitted.
