City Quest ("we", "us", or "our") built the City Quest mobile application as a fully local, privacy-first product. This Privacy Policy explains how our app handles data and your privacy rights.
Because City Quest is designed with privacy as its core architecture — no accounts, no servers, no cloud, no tracking — this policy is straightforward: we do not collect your data.
City Quest does not collect, transmit, or process any personal data. Specifically:
No account registration. The app requires no signup, login, or account creation.
No personal information collected. We do not ask for or receive your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information.
No analytics or telemetry. The app does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or usage tracking mechanisms that transmit data to us or any third party.
No advertising SDKs. The app contains no ad networks or advertising trackers.
No server-side data storage. We operate no servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that could receive or store your data.
All data you create while using City Quest is stored locally on your device only. This includes:
User profile: Your chosen city name, optional nickname, arrival date, pace preference, and focus areas — all entered during optional onboarding and stored on your device.
Task progress: Which tasks you have completed, skipped, archived, or marked as in-progress.
Records and journals: Text notes, photos (stored as local file paths), optional location pins, and mood markers you attach to tasks or as free records.
Photos: Photos you take or select from your photo library for records and achievement posters. These are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
Achievement data: Unlocked achievements, milestone records, and generated poster images.
Local usage logs: The app records anonymous local usage events (such as task completion counts) for your own reference only. These logs never leave your device.
None of this data is transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party. It exists only on your device.
