This Privacy Policy explains how the Sanatana: The Eternal Living (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. The App is published by Manav Gupta ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

The App is a devotional and educational product offering daily verses, explanations, guided reading, and audio narration from Hindu scriptures such as the Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana. It is operated by an individual developer, not a company. You can reach us at [email protected] for any privacy-related request.
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:
You can use the App as a guest without signing in. If you choose to sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (including Google Sign-In). In that case we receive a Firebase user ID and, depending on the provider, your name and email address. We do not store your password — authentication is handled by Google/Firebase.
If you use the App without signing in, we generate a random device identifier (a UUID) to save your bookmarks, history, and progress on that device. This identifier is not tied to your real-world identity.
To provide app features, we store data associated with your user ID or device ID, including your reading history, bookmarks, saved verses, daily-practice records and streaks, and reading progress.
When you request an explanation, search, or ask for verse-related content, the text of your request is sent to our servers and to our AI provider to generate a response.
We use product analytics to understand how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened and general usage patterns). This may include a random analytics identifier, device type, operating system version, app version, and coarse interaction events. We do not use this to identify you personally.
Our servers automatically process standard technical information such as your IP address, request timestamps, and language preference in order to deliver and secure the service.
We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, financial information, or other sensitive personal data.
