This policy explains what MODESET collects, why, and the choices you have. MODESET is built to respect your attention, so we keep data minimal and local by default.

1. Information We Collect

MODESET stores the following on your device:

• Favourites — the quotes and content you save.
• Viewed content — a lightweight history of what you have encountered, used only to avoid repeating the same item within 30 minutes.
• Session records — the state you chose, the duration you selected (5, 15, or 25 minutes), and your end-of-session awareness choice. No performance judgement is recorded.
• Preferences — notification and haptic settings, your default timer length, and your preferred state order.

If you enable cross-device sync, these items are synced through your personal iCloud account. Core use does not require an account.

2. How We Use Information

We use your data to deliver the product: showing your favourites, recalling your session history, applying your preferences, and surfacing optional personal patterns once enough data has accumulated.

We also collect anonymized product-interaction events (for example, which states you open and whether a session was completed) to improve MODESET. We do not use this to build an emotional profile or to díagnose you.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your favourites, viewed content, session records, and preferences are stored locally on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud. Haptic feedback is generated on-device and is not recorded as data.

We apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the type of data we process.

4. Third-Party Services

MODESET does not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for advertising.

If we use service providers (for example, cloud sync or crash reporting), they process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
