HotCold is designed to keep your session and health information under your control.

Data used by the app

HotCold may request permission to read relevant Apple Health data, including workout, heart-rate, heart-rate variability, respiratory-rate, oxygen-saturation, wrist-temperature, and active-energy information. This access is optional and is used to present session history and recovery or resilience insights inside the app.

HotCold may also request location access to attach a single approximate coordinate to a session when you choose to allow it, and notification permission to alert you when timer intervals change or finish.

Session settings and history are stored on your device. Apple Watch session information is transferred to the paired iPhone using Apple frameworks.

Analytics and diagnostics

HotCold uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and diagnose crashes. These services may process device, app-performance, and diagnostic information according to Google's privacy terms. HotCold does not use HealthKit data for advertising and does not sell personal or health information.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. HotCold receives transaction and entitlement information from StoreKit but does not receive your full payment-card details.

Your choices

You can change Health, location, notification, analytics, and diagnostic permissions through iOS Settings. You can delete locally stored HotCold data by deleting the app. Subscriptions can be managed in your Apple Account settings.
