Thingwall is an iPhone app for turning things you notice into stickers and keeping them on a wall. This page explains what the app can access, where that data lives, and what we do not do.
We do not run a Thingwall account. We do not operate a Thingwall server that stores your photos or stickers.
Thingwall uses the camera when you take a photograph to make a sticker. The picture is cut out on this iPhone (Apple on-device subject tools) and saved as a sticker.
iOS may also ask about the microphone, because the system camera can record video with sound. Thingwall only takes still photographs. It never turns the microphone on.
You can change camera access in iPhone Settings, then Thingwall.
Thingwall may ask to read your photo library when you choose an existing picture to peel into a sticker, or to place as a photograph on a wall. Only the picture you pick is copied into the app.
Thingwall may ask to add photos when you export a wall or a sticker sheet. The export is saved to your camera roll. We do not browse the rest of your library to do that.
Location is optional. If you allow it, Thingwall can read your position while you are photographing something, so a place name can be saved with that sticker. It does not follow you in the background.
The iPhone may ask Apple to turn coordinates into a place name. That request does not go to Thingwall.
The place name, and the coordinates used to make it, stay with the sticker on your device unless you back the library up to iCloud.
You can refuse location and still use the rest of the app.
