This Privacy Policy explains how Ruler handles information when you use the application. Ruler is an on-screen measuring utility. Its measuring functions do not require an account.

2. Scope

This policy covers Ruler version 1.0.5 and its built-in functions. Other apps you choose when sharing, app stores, email providers and operating-system services have their own privacy practices.

3. Information processed on your device

Ruler processes and stores the following locally:

• Calibration factors for the screen's two axes, confirmation state and calibration date.
• Display metadata used to estimate the initial scale and detect display changes, including screen dimensions, density, rotation and display identifier. This is a display configuration reference, not an advertising identifier.
• Measurement marker positions.
• Preferences such as units, fractional inches, dual scales, orientation, reduced motion and screen-awake behavior.

These values are used to draw the ruler, calculate the current measurement and restore your settings. The application does not transmit them to the developer.

The current version has no measurement-saving or history feature. For compatibility, any inactive records already present in the earlier local storage format may remain in that local file; they are not uploaded or exposed through a history screen.
