Classical Mood Privacy Policy

Classical Mood ("the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

1. Information We Access

• Health data — With your permission, the app reads recent activity (steps, exercise), sleep, heart rate, weight, and blood pressure from Apple Health, solely to generate music recommendations.
• Location — With your permission, the app uses your approximate location to fetch local weather, which informs recommendations.
• Camera & Photos — In the Concert feature, text in photos you take or select is recognized on your device (OCR). Photos themselves are never stored or transmitted; only the recognized text is used for concert search.
• API keys — Groq/Anthropic API keys you enter are stored only in your device's iOS Keychain.
• Recommendation history — Your recommendations from the past 7 days are stored only on your device and are automatically deleted after 7 days.

2. When Information Leaves Your Device

The app operates no servers of its own. Information is transmitted to external services only in these cases:

• AI engines — If you choose Apple Intelligence, all processing happens on your device and no data leaves it. Only if you choose Groq or Anthropic (Claude), a summary of your health data, weather/time/location name, your selected mood/condition, and concert search text are sent to that AI service to generate recommendations. Transmitted data is subject to the respective service's privacy policy (Groq, Anthropic).
• Weather — Your location coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (a free weather service). No other personal information is included.
• Concert search — Search terms you type or text recognized from photos are used for Google searches.
• Music services — Song search queries are sent to Apple (iTunes Search, Apple Music) or YouTube Music to find playback links. When you create a playlist, it is created in your Apple Music library under Apple's Media & Apple Music policies.

3. What We Don't Collect

• No accounts. We never collect your name, email, or other identity information.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics tools of any kind.
• Your health data is never stored on external servers and never used for advertising or marketing.
