Forge is a custom iOS keyboard that rewrites rough or vague text into a clear, well-structured AI prompt. You type an idea in any app, switch to the Forge keyboard, and tap Optimize — the text in the field is replaced with an improved version.
Forge has no account system. You are never asked for a name, an email address, or any other personal detail.
When you tap Optimize, the text currently in the field is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI to produce the improved prompt. The result is written back into the field.
This happens only when you tap Optimize. Forge does not read, collect, or transmit anything you type at any other time.
On first use, Forge generates a random identifier (a UUID) and stores it in your device's Keychain. It is sent with each optimize request.
This identifier is not linked to you, your Apple ID, or any personal information, and it is not used for advertising, tracking, or analytics. Its only purpose is to limit how many requests a single device can make, so that one misbehaving or abusive client cannot exhaust the service for everyone else.
Like any internet service, our server receives the IP address a request comes from. It is used transiently to apply the same abuse limits described above and is not stored, logged to disk, or associated with your prompts.
The Forge keyboard requires Allow Full Access in iOS Settings. iOS shows a strong warning for this permission, and that warning is appropriate — so here is exactly what Forge does with it.
Full Access is required for one reason only: a keyboard extension cannot make network requests without it, and Forge needs to reach its server to improve your prompt.
