Marka — Bookmark Manager and Viewer (Chrome extension)

The short version. Marka does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything it reads stays inside your own browser. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no advertising.

1. Who this covers

This policy applies to the browser extension "Marka — Bookmark Manager and Viewer" distributed through the Chrome Web Store, and to any Chromium-based browser it is installed in.

2. What the extension accesses

Permission	Why it is needed	Where the data goes
`bookmarks`	To read your bookmark folders and links so they can be listed, searched and displayed; and to rename, move or delete an item when you ask for it.	Read into the extension page in memory only. Never written anywhere else, never sent off the device.
`storage`	To remember three preferences: your theme, your default layout and your default sort order.	Chrome's own sync storage, under your Google profile. No other value is stored.
`favicon`	To show each site's icon next to its bookmark, using the icon Chrome has already cached locally.	Read from your local browser cache. No request is made to any website.
`activeTab` and `scripting`	To draw the search overlay on the page you are looking at, and only at the moment you press the keyboard shortcut.	Nothing is read from the page. The overlay is removed when you close it.

3. What is not collected

Marka does not collect, and has no capability to collect, any of the following:

Personally identifying information — name, address, email address, age or ID numbers
Health, financial or authentication information, including passwords and credentials
Your browsing history, page content, form input, keystrokes, mouse movement or clicks
Location data, IP addresses or device identifiers
Usage analytics, crash telemetry or any behavioural measurement

4. Data transmission

The extension makes no network requests of any kind. It contains no third-party libraries, no tracking pixels, no remote code and no advertising SDKs. All code that runs is included in the package you install and can be read in full.

5. Data retention and deletion

Bookmark data is never retained by the extension — it is read fresh from Chrome each time you open a view. The three saved preferences live in Chrome's sync storage and are removed by Chrome when you uninstall the extension. Removing the extension therefore removes everything it holds. Your bookmarks themselves are Chrome's, and are untouched by uninstalling.

6. Children

Marka is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone regardless of age.
