Effective date: June 18, 2026
Node Screenshot (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that lets you capture a screenshot of a single page element you click.
None. The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data. It has no backend servers, no analytics, and no tracking.
When you activate the picker and click an element, the Extension captures an image of that element using the browser’s built-in screenshot capability and saves it as a PNG file to your device’s downloads. Page content is processed only locally, inside your browser, for the sole purpose of producing that screenshot, and is never sent anywhere.
The Extension requests only the permissions needed to capture a screenshot: activeTab and scripting to run the element picker on the current tab after you click the toolbar icon; debugger to take a pixel-perfect capture of the selected element via the Chrome DevTools Protocol method Page.captureScreenshot; and downloads to save the resulting PNG to your device. The debugger session is detached immediately after each capture.
The Extension does not use any third-party services, trackers, advertising, or remote code.
