Nuur Journals is built to be a private place to reflect. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information, in plain terms.
Your entries, photos and voice recordings are stored on your device.
If you have iCloud Sync enabled — it is on by default and can be turned off in Settings — your entries are also stored in your own private iCloud container, so they are available on your other Apple devices and are protected if you lose your phone. This container belongs to your Apple ID. Nuur Apps Limited cannot access it, and your entries are never sent to our servers. We do not operate servers that store journal content.
If you turn iCloud Sync off, your entries remain only on your device. Deleting the app will then permanently erase them.
We never read, transmit, analyse or train anything on the content of your journal.
To understand how the app is used and where it can be improved, we collect anonymous usage statistics through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics provider based in Germany and operating under GDPR.
We record only that certain events occurred — for example, that an entry was saved, that a screen was opened, or that a purchase was completed. We never receive:
Before anything leaves your device, your device identifier is combined with our app identifier and processed through a one-way hash using a salt that changes every day. The result cannot be traced back to you, cannot be linked to you across other apps, and is different each day.
We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
