Privacy Policy — Productivity Boss
Effective date: October 23, 2026
Productivity Boss (the "App") is made by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
In short
- No account. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your tasks, virtual pay, streaks and settings stay on your iPhone. We don't run servers that receive them.
- Screen Time data never leaves your device and is never used for advertising.
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active.
- We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened and how many tasks are completed). It uses a random app identifier, not your name, email or advertising ID. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
1. Data stored only on your device
Everything you create in the App stays on your iPhone. That covers:
- tasks, their hours, counts and timers;
- the virtual "Boss Bank" balance and transactions;
- career level, streaks and shop upgrades;
- messages from the boss and your settings.
It is not sent to us or synced to any server. Deleting the App, or using Settings → Erase everything in the App, removes it.
2. Screen Time data
To track and limit the apps you choose, the App uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) with your permission. You can withdraw that permission at any time in iOS Settings.
- Apple gives us the apps, categories and websites you pick only as opaque tokens. We can't see which apps they are.
- The App learns your usage of those apps only in coarse steps, such as "10 minutes reached". It uses them to show progress, apply your limits and send boss notifications. This information stays on your device.
