This Privacy Policy explains what information Quit Smoking Mindfully ("we", "us", "the app") does and does not collect, how any information is used, and the rights you have. This app was designed from the ground up to keep your data on your device. That principle guides every section below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information stored only on your device
When you use Quit Smoking Mindfully, the app creates and stores the following information locally on your device — it is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Session records: the time of each mindfulness session, which koan was viewed, session duration, tap count on the wooden fish, and which exit you selected ("the wave passed" or "smoking with awareness").
- Optional craving ratings: the numeric intensity (0–10) you may enter before and after a session. Entering these is entirely optional.
- Aggregate counters: your total practice count, current stage, list of "lit" koans, count of cigarettes skipped, and estimated money saved (computed from the price you set locally).
- Configuration: your language preference, your local price-per-cigarette input, and your currency selection.
All of the above lives in the app's local storage (IndexedDB and equivalent on-device stores). We do not have a copy.
1.2 Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect and do not have access to:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account identifier (there are no accounts).
- Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID). The app does not request it.
- Your precise or approximate location.
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera.
- Health data from HealthKit, Google Fit, or any similar service.
- Analytics events, crash reports, or telemetry sent to any server.
