ThumbDrop is a browser extension that allows users to preview and download YouTube video thumbnails directly to their devices.

We respect your privacy. ThumbDrop is designed to work without accounts, tracking, or collecting personal information.

1. Information We Collect

ThumbDrop does not collect, store, or sell personal information.

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or account information.
• Browsing history or search activity.
• Download history.
• Personal identifiers or location data.
• Analytics or behavioral tracking data.

2. How ThumbDrop Works

ThumbDrop identifies YouTube video IDs and titles within your browser to locate and download thumbnail images.

The extension works on YouTube video pages, search results, and feeds.

When you click a download button, ThumbDrop retrieves available thumbnail images from YouTube's image servers, identifies the highest-quality available version, and initiates a download directly to your device.

No video information or download activity is transmitted to servers operated by ThumbDrop.

3. Local Storage

ThumbDrop stores the download-button visibility preference locally using Chrome's extension storage.

This preference allows the extension to remember whether you want its download buttons displayed or hidden.

The setting remains in your browser and is not transmitted to ThumbDrop servers.
