TipAbroad ("the App") is a travel tipping guide. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information Stored Locally on Your Device (Not Transmitted)

TipAbroad stores the following data only on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). This data is never transmitted to us or any third party:

• Favorites – Countries you have marked as favorites
• User preferences – Your home currency, display settings, and onboarding completion status
• Calculator inputs – Bill amounts and party size you enter (used only in-session)

Data that is processed only on device is not "collected" and does not need to be disclosed in your App Store Privacy Label — however we disclose it here for full transparency.

2b. Purchase Information (In-App Tips via StoreKit)

If you choose to leave a tip through our Tip Jar, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit 2. We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your name, email, or Apple ID
• Payment card details
• Transaction history beyond what Apple reports to App Store Connect (aggregate only)

Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

2c. Exchange Rate Data

The app may fetch current exchange rate data from a public API (e.g., open exchange rates). This request does not include any personally identifiable information. Only your device's IP address may be visible to the API provider as part of a standard network request.
