Two Choices (the App) is an emotion capture and reflection app for Apple Watch and iPhone. This policy explains what information the App handles, where it lives, and the choices you have. The short version: your data never leaves your devices.
The App stores the following information, created by you, on your device:
Motion data: the App uses the device motion sensors (CoreMotion) in real time to move the beads. Motion data is processed on the device and is never stored or transmitted.
We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, health or fitness data (including heart rate or HRV), usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or any content for AI training. The App has no account system and no servers.
The information above is used only to provide the App features on your device: filling and animating your jar, displaying beads and sealed jars on the shelf, presenting review questions, building your tag and strategy libraries, and preparing weekly observations. Your information is never used for advertising, profiling, or marketing, and it is never sold or shared.
All App data is stored locally in the on-device database on your iPhone (and, temporarily, on your Apple Watch before syncing). Watch-to-phone synchronization uses Apple WatchConnectivity, which transfers data directly between your paired devices - it does not pass through any server operated by us. We do not operate any backend or cloud storage for the App. You can delete any record inside the App; deleting the App removes all of its data from your device. A moment can be undone within 5 seconds of recording, which permanently deletes that record.
The App integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDKs, and communicates with no third-party services. When your review text matches a locally stored list of sensitive words, the App displays a static safety card showing a local 24-hour helpline number and a suggestion to contact someone you trust. This happens entirely on your device: nothing is reported, transmitted, or logged elsewhere.
Because all data is stored only on your device, you have full control at all times. You can view every record in the App, delete individual moments, reviews, tags, strategies, and templates, or erase everything by deleting the App. There is no server-side data for you to request, correct, or export - we simply hold nothing about you.
