This Privacy Policy explains how Volume Booster ("we", "our", or "the extension") handles your information.

1. What Data We Collect

a) Email Address

When you choose to activate Volume Booster Pro using the Email Sign-In method, we collect your email address solely to:

• Verify that you have an active subscription
• Send you a one-time verification code (OTP)

We do not store your email address on our servers beyond the duration of the verification session.

b) License Key

If you choose to activate Pro using a License Key, the key you enter is sent to our verification server to validate it against our payment provider (Polar.sh). It is not stored or logged.

c) Local Extension Data

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API:

• Your volume and EQ settings (per website)
• Your Pro activation status (email or license key)
• Custom EQ presets you create

This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.
