Privacy Policy for Bookmark Organizer
Last updated: August 2026
Bookmark Organizer is a Chrome extension that helps you organize your browser bookmarks. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it's used.
What we access Bookmark Organizer uses Chrome's bookmarks API to read and reorder your bookmarks and folders. This is necessary for its core function: automatically moving new bookmarks to the top of their folder, and letting you manually sort existing folders alphabetically or by date added.
What we store The extension uses Chrome's storage API to save two settings locally: whether automatic sorting is turned on, and which folders you've chosen to exclude from it. These may sync across your own signed-in Chrome browsers via Google's built-in Chrome Sync, the same way Chrome syncs your other extension settings.
What we don't do Bookmark Organizer never transmits, sells, shares, or transfers your bookmarks or any other data to any external server, third party, or the developer. Nothing the extension accesses ever leaves your device. There is no analytics, tracking, or advertising code in this extension.
