Catu helps you preserve and revisit the moments you share with your pets. We believe these memories are personal, and Catu is designed to keep your library under your control.
Catu stores the information you choose to add, including pet profiles, photos, memory dates, notes, and saved moments.
Your library is stored locally on your device by default. You do not need a Catu account, email address, or password to use the app’s core features.
The current version of Catu does not include third-party advertising or analytics.
Catu uses the photos you choose to import and the images you capture with its camera feature to create and display your pet memories.
Your photos remain on your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud Sync or choose to export and share your library.
Catu Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks access to optional iCloud Sync. Sync is turned off by default and must be enabled by you in Settings.
When enabled, Catu syncs your retained pet profiles and moments, including relevant notes, dates, saved-memory status, pet portraits, and original photos. This allows your memories to be available across your Apple devices.
Your synced library is stored in your own iCloud private database. Catu does not operate a separate server for your synced library. Apple’s iCloud services and storage are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policies.
Turning off sync stops future synchronization but does not automatically delete existing cloud copies. You can manage cloud data separately in Settings.
Catu Pro is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase processed through Apple’s App Store.
Apple handles payment processing. Catu does not receive your payment card details. The app verifies purchase transactions to determine whether Pro features are available.
Purchasing Pro does not automatically enable iCloud Sync or upload your local library. You decide whether and when to enable sync.
Catu allows you to export your library as a ZIP file. The export is generated on your device and can include pet information, memory details, and original photos.
