Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how [Developer / Company Name] ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application Chess (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Chess is offline-first: you can play full games against the AI or a friend on the same device without an internet connection and without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email, address, or any other directly identifying information to use the App.

1. Information we collect

We do not require an account and do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts. The App may collect the following limited information:

a. Usage and analytics data. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. This includes:

This data is not used to identify you personally.

b. Advertising data. The App may display ads served by third-party advertising partners (for example, Google AdMob). To serve and measure ads, these partners may access a device advertising identifier (IDFA) and similar data. On iOS we ask permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking that requires it; if you decline, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

c. Purchase data. In-app purchases (hint packs and "Remove Ads") are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only confirmation of whether a purchase succeeded so we can deliver the item; we do not receive or store your payment-card details.

d. Push notifications (optional). If you allow notifications, Apple issues a device token used to deliver messages. You can turn notifications off anytime in iOS Settings.
