Overview

Claros is a personal mood and wellness journal. We built it with privacy as a foundation. Your data belongs to you and stays with you.

Data We Collect

Claros collects the following information when you use the app:

• Mood entries including emotion, score, notes, and gratitude
• Biometric data including sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and activity — read from Apple Health with your permission
• Location data — time away from home only, not specific addresses or destinations
• Life events you choose to add

Where Your Data Lives

All data collected by Claros is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. It never touches our servers. We have no access to your data. Not even Claros can see what you write.

Apple Health

Claros reads biometric data from Apple Health only with your explicit permission. We read data — we never write to Apple Health. You can revoke this permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy → Health → Claros.

Location

Claros uses Apple's visit monitoring to detect when you leave and return home. Only time away from home is recorded — never specific locations, addresses, or destinations visited. Location monitoring requires Always On permission to work reliably in the background. You can revoke this at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Claros.

Third Parties

Claros does not share your data with any third parties. We do not use advertising networks, analytics services, or data brokers.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the Claros app. This removes all local data from your device. To remove data from iCloud go to iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Claros → Delete Data.

Children

Claros is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
