Privacy Policy for Grid Maker: Drawing Reference

Effective date: September 23, 2026

Grid Maker: Drawing Reference (the “App”) helps you prepare photos as drawing references. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the App. The App is provided by Redouan (“we,” “us”). For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Photos, drawings, and projects

When you choose a photo from Photos or Files, drop an image into the App, or take a picture with the in-app camera, the App makes a copy in its local storage. It also stores thumbnails, drawings or annotations, project names, grid settings, and other edits needed to reopen your work. Image editing and export rendering happen on your device. The App does not send your source photos or exported images to our servers.

The App uses Apple's SwiftData and, when available, your private iCloud database to sync project records and settings through your Apple Account. The current implementation stores full-size reference images, thumbnails, and drawing files in the App's local file storage; those files are not themselves synced by this iCloud project database. As a result, a project record may appear on another device without its image. If iCloud is unavailable, project records remain local to the device. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

When you use the iOS share sheet to export, save, print, or send a file, the destination you choose receives that file and applies its own privacy practices.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Apple processes App Store purchases and payments. We use RevenueCat to display purchase options, check whether Pro is active, and restore purchases. Because the App does not ask you to create an account, RevenueCat generates an anonymous app user ID. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information associated with that ID, and may receive technical information needed to operate its service. We can see purchase status and related purchase analytics in RevenueCat; we do not receive your full payment card details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy for their practices.

We do not use an advertising SDK or track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising. We do not sell your photos or project content.

Support messages

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, your message, device or app details you provide, and any attachments. Please avoid sending private photos or payment details unless they are needed to resolve your request. We use support messages to respond to you and investigate problems.

Retention and deletion

Project records remain until you delete them in the App. Records synced through iCloud may remain in your iCloud account after you remove the App and are subject to your iCloud settings. Deleting a project in the current version removes its project record, but copied image or drawing files may remain in the App's local storage until the App is removed. Removing the App removes its local app storage from that device; copies you exported, shared, or stored elsewhere are controlled by those destinations. You can manage iCloud data through your Apple Account settings.

We keep support messages as needed to resolve the request, then delete them unless we need to retain them for a legal or security reason. Purchase records may need to be retained by Apple and RevenueCat to provide entitlements, handle refunds, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations. If you want us to review or delete data we control, contact [email protected]. We may need enough information to identify the relevant purchase or support record. Some data may be retained where required by law or needed to resolve an active transaction.

Children

The App is a general drawing tool and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian may contact us at [email protected] with a privacy concern.
